Something HALLOWEENY This Way Comes!

DSC00164_edited-1

BOO!  Okay…it’s a little early for Halloween…but not really, when you’re talking about crafting, right?!

So, in the spirit of early Halloween creating, a few fun projects to share with you today…

Here’s a fabulous old bottle I found junkin’ this summer…love all the opalescent color!  I didn’t want to do too much to alter it—wanted to let the beauty of the bottle shine, so just a simple label & a bit of gingham ribbon…

Isn’t that label wonderful?!  All my projects today were done using two new Halloween-themed stamp sets from Crafty Secrets:

Halloween Labels” here…

…and “Jolly Halloween”…

Fun, huh?!

Here’s another great vintage bottle put to good use…

I didn’t want to do too much to the labels, either—the graphics are so wonderful, I just wanted them to take center stage…not a bunch of coloring, etc.  This one just screamed gold ink on black to me…

…and the bottle neck was just perfect for winding a bunch of stained black & white baker’s twine around & topping off with a bit of gold sealing wax—complete with embossed crown…love it!

And a couple of little gift cards—just perfect to accompany those yummy little treats you know you’ll be making for your favorite ghoul-friends {tee hee!}…

I LOVE this silhouetted image…and on the inside…

…a beautifully scripted Halloween greeting, complete with flourishes from the “Jolly Halloween” set.

And my favorite:

I don’t know what it is about vintage moon faces, but I ADORE them!  I was so excited to see this in the “Halloween Labels” set!  A bit of layering with different colored cardstock (my favorite way to add color & dimension with stamps!), a bit of sparkle, and that’s it!

Hope you’re  getting excited about the start of fall—it’s not too very far away, you know!

See you soon with something new…

Julie

  1. So much fun, Julie! I love the bottles! I didn't know they made black/white bakers twine so I headed over to Amazon to order some. I'll be able to wind some on spools and give them as gifties to crafty friends. Thanks for the goulishly wonderful post! =D

  8. Hi Julie,
Such wonderful Halloween labels. I'm starting to get the itch for autumn now. The extreme heat of Texas is taking it's toll on me. I'm hardly ever out in the middle of the day, for fear I might melt! :)
Thanks for putting me in the Halloween craft mood.

  9. Hi there my sweet friend. I hope you have been having a great and wonderful summer with friends, family and travels. It has been a busy one for us with our kids and getting my son off to Australia for his mission. This post makes me so excited to do up some Halloween decorations. I love the new stuff from Crafty Secrets and you always make it spectacular.

  11. Hi Julie, your Halloween bottles and cards turned out super cute! Love all the different ways you did them! I did have our graphics lady Cindy make a couple of small changes on the Halloween Labels to clean out the moon face a bit and the distress lettering on the pumpkin label.
    Thanks for sharing!
