Believe

DSC03370_edited-1

You know me pretty well, by now.  You know I can’t resist a sweet Frozen Charlotte doll, don’t you?

Well, I can’t.

How could I?!  Just waiting to be dolled up in some shabby finery—sparkling crystals are always a must--

A frame just waiting to be painted and scruffed up a bit—then framing the frame with silver German glitter, buttons & lace…

…and a little bunch of my favorite flocked vintage flowers, of course…

“Believe in the  beauty of your dreams.”  I think I’ll do just that.

Moxie

DSC03341_edited-1

I’ve always loved the word “moxie”…not sure why.  I just have.  It’s a cute word.  With--well, moxie!

According to Webster’s, it means:

“knowledge gained by actually doing or living through something…(the) strength of mind to carry on in spite of danger”

I like that.

I think quiet strength is no less strength.  Sometimes it’s in those quiet moments that we make the hardest choices.  Moxie.

The guts to not only wish for something to happen, but the strength to make it happen.

Moxie.

And nothing says moxie to me like a vintage Wild West girl!  You’ve seen them in my journals before, and you’ll see them again—I love those girls…

Absolutely full of moxie!

See you soon with something new.

Happy

DSC03310_edited-1

No internet connection for three days makes for a bit of an inconvenience these days, doesn’t it?  At our house, internet equals school, so it’s been like three “snow days” in May!

DSC03305_edited-1

Finally got the problem fixed late this afternoon, so I happily jumped on to share this little project with you…

DSC03309_edited-1

I envisioned a little pot of vintage posies—a tag for any little purpose May could bring—May Day, Mother’s Day, a birthday—anything!  So, I just labeled it “Happy”…

And as I worked on my little “pot”, I decided it needed to be 3D—and so it is.  And it makes me happy.

See you soon with something new…
